As a teenager, my bike gave me the freedom to explore the towns in which I grew up. I would ride for hours with no particular place in mind. These routes became my memories of a particular time and place. In 2007 I returned to Elmira and Elmira Heights, New York to see if it was possible to record a memory with a camera. In the early morning and at dusk, I followed routes I rode on my bike and places I remember being taken to while running errands as a child. I found a changed place that allowed me to turn the past into aesthetic memories.
