These photographs grew out of my typical tasks around the house, an assumption about still life photographs, and a growing desire to tinker. The scenes are staged while completing the actual work and lit for dramatic effect. Initially, I set out to challenge the monotony of suburban life during a pandemic and the idea of traditional gendered roles within the home. The photographs are elevating household routines and projects into dramatic memories.
